What advice do you have for fellow students regarding internship/job searches?
“Take advantage of career services and all their resources and don’t assume a place doesn’t have an internship just because there is no job listing. Emailing and reaching out makes you stand out.”
What advice do you have for students seeking work experience in their field of study?
“Research opportunities and apply well in advance before when you want to start. It may take months to get an offer. “
How has the internship helped you prepare for your next career steps?
“I interned as a behavioral technician and provided ABA therapy to children with autism and other developmental disabilities. This experience gave me skills I can apply to my future career and gave me experience working it children in a clinical setting. Many of the skills I learned there I can transfer to my future career as a child therapist.”
What are your plans after graduation?
“After graduation this spring, I plan to pursue a masters in clinical mental health counseling and become a child therapist.”

“I have done multiple advising appointments regarding internships. The service was very helpful and made the process a lot easier.”
