Internship Summary: Responsible for prospecting new potential sand and gravel deposits to mine the raw materials for processing. Another responsibility was to maintain meticulous records of all site documentation and history. This is exactly what I am going to school for; ever since I started pursuing my degree my focus has been economic geology.
Advice to students: The best advice for finding an internship is to network! Talk to everyone and anyone you possibly can about your interests and what your goals are. Also, conduct yourself in such a manner that the people around you can personally vouch for your work ethic and dependability.
