Employers recruiting Iowa State University students for interns and full-time employees post positions on CyHire. You can search for positions by college or major, upload your resume, view career fair information, and more. Explore all features in the system and be sure to visit the site frequently to see new listings.

Iowa State alumni can register for CyHire by completing the alumni CyHire access form.

Go to CyHire

Go to CyHire – This link will direct you to the Okta verify page, enter your ISU username and password to log-in.

Update your profile

Update your profile by providing a summary of your background and uploading your resume.

Sync your Calendar

Enable calendar synchronization in Account Settings to automatically display events, interviews, and appointments on your Outlook calendar.

CyHire opportunities

New jobs and internships are posted daily on the CyHire platform by employers interested in ISU students. You can find all job and internship postings by searching for them in the “All Job Opportunities” section. You can use the filters at the top of the screen to narrow your search. If you are having difficulty searching the job and internship opportunities in CyHire, schedule an appointment to meet with a career advisor.

Automate your CyHire search

 CyHire will email the jobs or internships you’re interested in straight to your inbox.

  • Select “All Job Opportunities” on the left menu and begin creating your search by adding desired filters at the top of the page. You can search by Job Status, Employer, Job Title, and City. Select Add Filter if you would like to add filters such as opportunity type, location, and/or by your major (and any related majors). Click Enter to view results. Click Reset to refresh your search.
  • If you have gotten the results you’re looking for, click on ‘Turn on email alerts for this search’ located in the red banner at the bottom left side of the screen. You will be prompted to create a Saved Search Name and a notification schedule (daily or weekly). You can access your saved searches in the ‘”My Saved Searches & Alerts” section located in the red banner at the bottom right side of the screen.

Every semester career fairs are hosted across campus. CyHire is your key to knowing which employers are attending the fairs, the majors they are recruiting, and the jobs or internships they have available. You can find all active career fairs in the Events section. Keep a close eye on your email and the career fairs webpage for more information on the fall and spring career fairs.

On-Campus Interviews are opportunities for students to interview with employers  These interviews can either be in-person or virtual. Employers offering On Campus Interviews will do so by publishing the interview opportunity with their job postings. Interview opportunities can be found from your CyHire homepage by clicking the All Job Opportunities on the left menu > On Campus Interview (OCI) the 2nd tab at the top of the page. 

Employers host information sessions to help connect with students. Learn about organizations you are interested in and their opportunities by attending available information sessions. Information sessions are offered in both in-person and virtual formats. You can find all active Information Sessions in the Events section.

Set up a career advising appointment through CyHire. Go to Appointments on the left menu. You can filter by appointment type and Career Advisor at the top of the page. Click on your preferred time and Select ‘Book Appointment.‘
