As part of our commitment to the unique needs of LAS learners readying themselves for major post-graduation decisions, we are launching a new, innovative Career Peer Advising program in Fall 2025. Career Peer Advisors (CPAs) undergo comprehensive training in document review techniques and actionable advising strategies to ensure they provide valuable, consistent support to their fellow LAS students while also offering their unique educational and professional insights.
Our professional career advisors and CPAs offer services in the following areas:
- Resume, CV, and cover letter review
- Career fair preparation and elevator pitches
- LinkedIn profile review and networking
- NACE core competencies
Additionally, our professional career advisors offer expanded services, including:
- Interview preparation
- Mock interviews
- Job/internship search strategies
- Job offer/negotiation review
How to schedule an appointment
Connect with one of our career peer advisors (CPAs)
- Drop-in hours: Stop by LAS Career Services at 150 Carver Monday-Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, for a quick 15-minute advising session. No appointment needed!
- Career document reviews: CPAs also conduct digital reviews of certain professional documents (e.g., resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles)
- Presentations and workshops: CPAs are available to facilitate presentations and workshops for LAS courses, as well as academic student organizations and clubs on campus

Current students and alumni with an active CyHire account, please:
- Log in to CyHire
- In the left menu, click “Appointments”
- For the best viewing experience, select “Week” from the dropdown menu on the far-right side of the page.
- Click on a Career Advisor’s time block that works for you and then click “Book Appointment” to select appointment preferences (appointment type, time, and location).
- Fill out the details of what you hope to discuss and add any attachments before clicking “Book Appointment”
You will receive an automated email confirming your appointment. You may log back into CyHire to cancel or change your appointment if needed.
Alumni without an active CyHire account, please fill out the alumni CyHire access form on our alumni page to gain access to the career advising scheduling portal in CyHire.
